The first walk (2rd December, 11 AM) takes place in the City of London
2000 steps are needed to cover 2000 years of the city's architectural history. London's layers are deep and diverse, it’s one of the most multi-layered cities in the world. We’ll discuss how the city copes with this complexity.
The second journey (9th December, 1:30 PM) is an exploration of a perfect Victorian district of South Kensington.
If you enjoy Victorian architecture or want to better understand it, that’s the best place. We’ll see the full range of the era, from grand buildings to calm mews, from Neo-Gothic to Neoclassical façades.
The third walk (10th December, 11 AM) takes us around Kings Cross, old and new.
Both the fancy facades of the stations and new architecture behind them are phenomenal to me.
We’ll talk about beauty and ugliness and how the same thing could be considered both in different eras
